The Foyle Gay Pride Festival in 2010 saw history being made in Derry with the FIRST ever Gay Pride Parade through the streets of the city. Newspapers reported around 5000 people took to the streets for the celebration.
The Festival was supported and funded by many agencies, organisations and individuals. It was attended by people from all over Ireland, UK, Europe and indeed the world. Participants included women, men, young people and children, people of all sexual orientations, age groups, religions and cultures.
The Parade created a family atmosphere, a wave of colour, fantastic music, performances and costumes.'
