Having left Southampton in August 2011, the race has so far taken the crews to Rio de Janeiro, South Africa, China, Australia, and West Coast USA, in what has been a thrilling and at times dramatic adventure now on its way to New York before it reaches this side of the Atlantic on the final leg.
