Encóre Contemporary Choir is the new name for choral singing in the northwest. Launched in February 2011, they have already delighted audiences throughout the Maiden City with their unique and colourful take on contemporary music. Inspired by the rise in popularity of the 'show choir' through programmes such as the BBC’s Last Choir Standing, Encóre brings something a little bit different to the City of Culture!

The emphasis is placed on creating a professional singing ensemble, but also on the social aspect i.e. ‘havin’ a bitta craic’ and meeting new people along the way! We perform songs from a varied repertoire including hits from the West End and Broadway, classic songs and chart tunes old and new.

Please note: The choir is open to men and women over the age of 21. Best of all... there are no auditions! So you've no excuse not to join us!
